Financing for Young, Beginning, or Small Producers
Mission
Farm Credit Services of the Mountain Plains, ACA will make a concerted and cooperative effort to finance young, beginning, and small farmers, ranchers and producers or harvesters of aquatic products to the fullest extent of their creditworthiness with programs that provide credit and related services to this specialized group of borrowers, and by supporting government efforts to provide beginning farmer assistance through special programs.
Eligibility
Our program is designed to meet the needs of customers with at least one of the following characteristics:
- 35 years of age or younger
- Less than 10 years agricultural experience
- Producer with farm production less than $250,000 annually
Financing Options
Young, beginning, or small producers may have difficulty finding adequate financing. We offer financing to these unique producers at competitive rates with possible loan fee reductions.
Financing Includes:
- Real Estate purchases - including loans to acquire a farm, ranch or additional acreage.
- Operating expenses - includes credit for planting and harvesting expenses such as feed, seed and fertilizer, as well as family living expenses.
- Livestock and equipment purchases - includes financing for livestock, new or used machinery or vehicles.
- Refinancing existing debt - refinance mortgages and contracts or consolidate other debts to obtain terms tailored to fit your repayment schedule.
